2018 Michelfeld Himmelberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Baden, Germany

Rather tart, slightly herbal-vegetable aroma of predominantly black berries and a little cherries with delicately peppery-spicy aromas. Tart dark fruit in the mouth, clear, bitter-chocolatey wood, some sandy and drying tannin, good substance, a lot of power and noticeable alcohol, some persistence, ashy notes on the palate, some salt, not too deep, ethereal traces, good to very good, strong alcohol and again clearly bitter-chocolatey finish with toasty aromas and rather marmalade-like fruit
