2018 VDP.Gutswein trocken Cuvée "Rubidus", Pfalz, Germany

A slightly peppery, somewhat nutty and tobacco-like aroma of partly preserved dark berries and a little cherry with a hint of leather and dried herbs. Ripe fruit with slightly waxy notes, some chocolatey wood flavours, smoke and hints of meat juice, crumbly tannins, certain persistence, salty and earthy tones, good, slightly warm finish with a hint of herbal spice.
