2018 trocken "Cuvée Gustav", Pfalz, Germany

Somewhat herbal, nutty and delicately floral aroma of mixed berries and a little cherry with a hint of fennel and spicy aromas. Firmly woven, tangy fruit with a slight acid bite, some toasty and nutty wood spice and a hint of pomegranate, present tannin, good substance and persistence, pepper and some dark chocolate in the background, salty and earthy tones, has power, warm and cool elements, a hint of tobacco and ethereal spice in the very good, grippy finish.
