2017 Spätburgunder trocken VDP.Gutswein, Pfalz, Germany

Very slightly muted nose, delicate yeasty and light floral notes, vegetal aromas, hint of red berries and dried herbs, hint of mushrooms. Slightly sweetish, soft fruit on the palate, yeasty nuances, elegant, fairly firm acidity, green vegetal notes, tannins still slightly astringent, good persistence, light mineral notes in the background, firm structure, light earthy and vegetal notes in the background, slightly astringent on an otherwise good to very good finish. Really does not need the sweetness, but may develop positively as it matures.
