2017 Godramstein Weißburgunder trocken VDP.Ortswein, Kalkgestein, Pfalz, Germany

Firm, fairly tart nose, light nutty notes and some bacon, light mineral and earthy notes, hint of tobacco, surprisingly cool yellow fruit. Nutty on the palate, light lemony notes and some white fruit, earthy and chalky notes, light oak, slightly astringent tannins, fairly lively acidity, still restless, nutty oak, slightly noticeable alcohol, hint of cocoa, becomes more juicy with aeration, good substance, some depth, initially slightly chunky on the finish, becomes significantly more juicy.
