2017 Godramstein Münzberg Weißburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken "Schlangenpfiff", Pfalz, Germany

Clear and quite fine, slightly nutty and a hint of fresh, buttery citrus nose with some apple and white peach, vegetal nuances and a hint of fresh mushrooms. Taut, cool, finely juicy fruit with lively, polished acidity, light nutty hints, vegetal notes and again a hint of fresh butter and mushrooms, persistent on the palate, chalky-salty minerality, restrained barrel tones, has grip and bite, some depth, medium strength, very good finish with cool juice, minerality, nutty tones, a little herbs, delicate phenolic bitterness and hints of smoke. Apparently now at the end of its absolute peak phase

Editor note: Firm nose, light yeasty, vegetal and herbaceous notes, delicate nutty and prominent mineral notes, polished, fairly cool, elegant yellow fruit. Firm, cool, polished, bone dry fruit on the palate, very elegant vegetal aromas, hint of caraway, yeasty traces, salty mineral notes in the background, good depth, elegant grip and bite, still young, elegant style, hint of bacon on a very good firm, cool, tart, juicy finish.
