2016 Godramstein Münzberg Weißburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken "Schlangenpfiff", Pfalz, Germany

Cool, fairly deep and complex and fairly polished nose, fresh vegetal notes, citrus and pomaceous fruit, hint of peaches, herbs, very delicate spicy oak, light mineral notes. Firm and juicy on the palate, ripe, tart, crisp fruit, light oak, earthy and mineral notes, delicate hint of smoked bacon, nutty aromas, lively acidity, youthful tannins provide light grip, still undeveloped, but both concentrated and elegant, very salty, hint of sugar candy, good depth, very good firm, juicy, smoky and minerally finish. Needs time to mature.
