2014 Spätburgunder-Dornfelder trocken Cuvée "Gustav", Pfalz, Germany

Oaky notes and tobacco on the nose, earthy notes, red and black berries, leathery traces, peppery races. Straightforward dry, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, smoky, toasted, nutty oak, fairly prominent and fine tannins, leathery and earthy traces, some substance and persistence, hint of bacon and dark chocolate, salty traces in the background, good to very good finish.
