2011 Chardonnay Spätlese trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Mature nose, vegetal notes, nutty oak, warm aromas of mature, partly dried pomaceous fruit and brown butter. Warm and clearly mature again on the palate, sweetish, partly candied and dried fruit, nutty oak, more brown butter, hint of tobacco and a touch of yellow spice, fairly good substance and persistence, noticeable high alcohol, very creamy, more buttery and peppery notes on a good to very good, warm, sweet finish.
