2018 Asselheim St.Stephan trocken Cuvée "Rotlichtviertel", Pfalz, Germany

Clear and firm aroma of ripe predominantly black berries with some dried planty to tobacco notes, a little smoke and a hint of pepper. Ripe, somewhat warm dark fruit, toasty and smoky wood spice, a little dried mushrooms and pepper in the background, lots of power and good persistence, a hint of varnish, present, very slightly drying tannins, noticeable alcohol, good to very good, slightly drying finish.
