The winery is located in the municipality of Lambsheim (area Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstrasse) in the German wine-growing region of the Palatinate. It was founded in 1984 and is managed by Harald Krauß. Son Lukas is responsible for the cellar technology. The winery has been a training company for the profession of winemaker since 2005.
The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyard. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Silvaner,Pinot Blanc and PinotGris, as well as the red wine varieties Blauer Portugieser, Dornfelder, PinotMeunier and PinotNoir. Since 1993, the vineyard has been cultivated according to the guidelines of controlled environmentally friendly viticulture in Rhineland-Palatinate. The aim is to protect the beneficial organisms and to promote biodiversity (species diversity). Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in steel tanks or barriques. Grape juice, bottle-fermented sparkling wine and Secco (sparkling wine) are also produced. The winery is a member of the association Generation Riesling.
