2019 Varnhalt Sonnenberg Spätburgunder trocken, Baden, Germany

Relatively firm, a touch fleshy bouquet with red and black fruity aromas, nutty tones and earthy-mushroomy traces. Tart, cool fruit with nutty, barrel-wood, fleshy and again slightly mushroomy aromas, youthful, fine tannin, smoky nuances, certain acidity, good persistence on the palate, still seems undeveloped, chalky-salty tones in the background, a hint of citrus zest and lemon pepper, slightly coffee-spicy wood notes, very good finish with ripe, yet cool juice.
