2019 Syrah Landwein trocken "Quarzporphyr", Baden, Germany

Quite firm, smoky, slightly bacony and peppery aroma of predominantly dark berries and cherries, some tobacco, tobacco ash and Mediterranean herbs. Clear, quite tight, tangy fruit, smoky and slightly toasty notes, again pepper and a little dried Mediterranean herbs, good persistence, crumbly-sandy tannin, medium power, a hint of salt in the background, very good finish with dark juice and again smoke and some toastiness.
