2018 Spätburgunder trocken Gutswein, Baden, Germany

Slightly toasty and somewhat dried herbal scent of ripe red and also a little black berries with floral and peppery nuances. Tart fruit with nutty and slightly tobacco wood spice, fine, youthful tannin, some acid bite, smoky tones on the palate, a hint of bacon, good persistence, salt in the background, some depth, very good, tart, again smoky finish with grip. Outstanding estate wine.
