2019 Dirmstein Mandelpfad Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Somewhat nutty, tobacco and smoky aroma with black and red berry aromas, slightly meaty tones, beetroot and a hint of mushrooms, dried herbs and juniper. Ripe, slightly warm, partly preserved fruit, hints of sweet paprika, mushroomy nuances and nutty tones, dark chocolate in the background, coffee grounds and salt, crumbly, sandy, ripe tannins, fleshy tones, again a little ethereal spice, good depth, very good finish with smoky flavours and aromas reminiscent of coffee and cocoa beans.
