2020 Löwenstein Wohlfahrtsberg Lemberger trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat ethereal-herbal, nutty and peppery aroma of predominantly dark berries with a little cherry and a hint of meat juice and lavender. Polished fruit with a noticeable acid bite, some nutty wood notes, smoke and hints of menthol, fine, crumbly tannin, currants and seaweed in the background, a hint of star anise, salty and earthy tones, very good, if very slightly drying finish.
