2015 Wiesoppenheim Am heiligen Häuschen Merlot trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Light toasted and smoky notes on the nose, earthy notes, hint of tobacco, predominantly black berries, hint of mushrooms. Sweetish, partly preserved fruit on the palate, smoky, lightly toasted oak, generally well integrated fine sandy tannins, some bite, noticeable warm alcohol, fairly persistent, sooty and earthy notes, dried vegetal and herbaceous traces, hint of bacon, good to very good, slightly sweetish finish.
