2020 Forst Pechstein Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Firm, distinctly vegetal, slightly yeasty, floral and nutty scent with restrained yellow fruity and distinctly mushroomy aromas. Slightly muted, completely dry citrus stone fruit, quite lively acidity and noticeable, somewhat sandy tannin, light minerality, but also clearly dark notes, almost reminiscent of coal, lasting, fresh vegetal tones, lemon zest in the background, very good, tart, slightly drying finish with ethereal aromas and slight bitterness.
