2022 Westhofen Morstein Riesling, Rheinhessen, Germany

Somewhat nutty, mainly pistachio-like aroma of ripe, partly preserved stone fruit and partly candied citrus fruit with a little yellow spice and chervil. Taut, cool, tart fruit, lively acidity and plenty of grip, chalky-salty minerality, persistent on the palate, fresh vegetal to herbaceous notes, a hint of dark berries, hints of crab meat, some depth, very good, taut, juicy and grippy finish with fine yellow spice and herbaceous-vegetable flavours.
