2021 Westhofen Morstein Riesling, Rheinhessen, Germany

Clear, quite firm and polished, rather cool stone fruit-citrus nose with herbal-vegetable nuances, yeasty traces, a hint of smoke and delicate, partly almost warm-looking floral tones. Juicy, ripe, quite dense dry fruit, herbal to herbal, yeasty and nutty aromas, lively, fine acidity and some grip of ripe tannin, persistent on the palate, distinct minerality, a little dark spice and smoke in the background, good depth, still young, very good, firm and deep, juicy, grippy and spicy finish.
