2021 Osthofen Goldberg Riesling, Rheinhessen, Germany

Rather cool, firm and quite deep, planty to herbaceous and delicately smoky aroma with restrained citrus and stone fruit aromas and quite distinct, light minerality. Straightforward, relatively bright, rather tart fruit, nutty, yeasty and planty aromas, a hint of tobacco, moderate, fine sandy, ripe tannin, lively, very fine acidity that really marbles the wine, good persistence, minerality in the background, good substance and a certain depth, gains noticeably with air, very good, firm, tart again, nevertheless juicy finish with grip and lots of minerality.
