2022 Zweigelt VDP.Gutswein trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat smoky, tobacco, nutty and hints of meat on the nose, partly preserved dark berries and a few cherries, with a hint of pepper and leather. Straightforward, not quite dry fruit with some nutty and chocolaty wood flavours, youthful, yet rather moderate tannins, certain persistence, salty and earthy tones, hints of sour cherries, peppery notes, gains juice and bite with lift, good finish.
