2014 Schozach Roter Berg Samtrot trocken ***, Württemberg, Germany

Light herbaceous and delicate smoky notes on the nose, predominantly red with a few black berries, hint of juniper, some old oak and earthy notes. Tart fruit on the palate, light earthy and nutty notes, smoky old oak, fine sandy tannins, more juniper and some bay leaf, fairly persistent, salty notes, elegant bite, fairly mdoerate tannins, fairly cool style, more herbaceous and salty notes on an elegant, juicy finish.
