Rather tart, slightly smoky aroma of more black than red berries with peppery notes and a hint of tar and bacon. Taut, tart, juicy, youthful fruit, smoky wood notes again, peppery flavours and bacon, a little bitter chocolate in the background, present, youthful tannins, some acid bite, good substance and persistence, light mineral tones, a hint of caraway, still undeveloped, very good, juicy and spicy finish. Quite astonishing basic quality.

Best to drink: 2024-2027+. What our ratings mean
