A festering and quite deep scent of very ripe black and blue berries with integrated, somewhat toasty and ashy wood spice, a hint of bread crust, grilled green pepper, suggested plums, herbs, and dark spice. Ripe, polished, juicy dark fruit, slightly smoky and again toasty wood spice, present, fine sandy tannins, a touch of vanilla and cocoa on the palate, good substance and sustainability, still somewhat underdeveloped, meaty hints, herbal and spicy aromas, restrained power, very good, firm, juicy, and again spicy finish.
