Somewhat more developed, rustic-woody and smoky scent of ripe black berries with dried herbs, animal nuances, a hint of juniper and bacon as well as suggested Amaretto and Brazil nut. Bitter, firmly structured dark fruit, again smoky, also somewhat tobacco-like and nutty wood, present, ripe tannins, dried herbs and a little dark ethereal spice on the palate, persistent, has substance and some depth, salt in the background, a hint of citrus zest, very good, bitter finish with increasingly ethereal notes and minerality. Improves with air over days.
