2020 Weißburgunder Landwein "Muschelkalk", Oberrhein, Germany

Slightly cloudy, light gold. Yeasty, tobacco and a hint of peaty aroma with pome fruit accentuated yellow fruit aromas, nutty aromas, tobacco, cigarette ash, some butter and floral nuances. Ripe, quite juicy, partly candied, yet quite dry fruit, a little yellow spice, yeasty notes, hints of smoke and buttery as well as bacony nuances, good persistence, grip of crumbly tannin, medium power, chalky and salty tones in the background, a little electrolytic on the palate, flavours of fat nuts, very good, very slightly sandy finish with yeasty notes and saffron.
