2017 Spätburgunder Landwein, Oberrhein, Germany

Hint of mushrooms and smoked bacon on the nose, ripe red berries, hint of tobacco, light earthy notes. Clear, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, very elegant acidity, integrated tannins, good substance and persistence, yeasty and light nutty traces, hint of tobacco, smoky traces, some depth, fairly prominent mineral notes, very good finish. Definitely an excellent companion with food, although it is more a light red wine than a classic rosé.
