2017 trocken "Servator", Pfalz, Germany

Quite firm, cedary and smoky-woody aroma of black berries with a little dry herbs, tobacco, ash and hints of green pepper, a hint of mushrooms and roasted aromas. Ripe, partly preserved, somewhat developed fruit, lots of smoky-roasty, nutty and bitter-chocolatey wood, herbal-vegetable notes and paprika in the background, crumbly-sandy somewhat drying tannin, noticeable alcohol, rather rustic type, oxidative nuances, a touch of carbonic acid, iodine traces, light bitter and almost a little sweetish melting, good to very good, preserved-fruity and clearly woody finish with dried-vegetable notes.
