2020 Achkarren Schlossberg Grauburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Baden, Germany

Clear, relatively calm, rather bright yellow fruity nose with nutty, moderately woody, hints of floral, tobacco and slightly vegetal aromas and a hint of mushrooms. Firmly woven, ripe, juicy fruit, distinctly nutty and slightly smoky wood spice, fine acidity, a hint of drying tannin, lots of power and some warmth, fresh root vegetables in the background, salt and hints of citrus, good persistence, very good, tart, firm finish with some warmth, tart spice and melting.
