2022 Wachenheim Altenburg Riesling VDP.Erste Lage trocken "P.C.", Pfalz, Germany

Almost still a hint of reductive, a little smoky, quite deep nose with noble vegetal and yellow fruity aromas, hints of sauteed mushrooms and a hint of tobacco. Ripe, tightly knit, tangy fruit, dense and again quite noble, very fine acidity, grip of crumbly tannin, smoky, tobacco and nutty tones, clear, relatively dark minerality, good substance and depth, has power and elegance at the same time, excellent balance, still very young, very good, firm, tangy and spicy finish with persistence.
