2022 Ruppertsberg Gaisböhl Riesling VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Cool, tart and firm, deep, somewhat herbal, a hint of mushroomy and delicately bacony nose with restrained yellow fruity notes, quite clear minerality, Havana tobacco and floral traces. Completely dry, calm fruit with nutty and dried-vegetable to tobacco flavours, persistent on the palate, some grip and very fine, marbling acidity, light, chalky-salty minerality, good depth, a hint of red berries in the background, almondy nuances, has a certain tension despite all inner calm, very good to long, rather cool, tart, finely juicy, nutty and smoky-mineral finish.
