2018 Martinsthal Schlenzenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Somewhat fresh-vegetable scent, slightly reminiscent of aubergines with aromas of red and black berries, floral nuances, a little red pepper, smoke, olives and mushrooms. Clear, quite juicy, lively fruit, tart, slightly bitterish wood notes, fine sandy tannin and some bite, good persistence, clearly peppery notes, also salt in the background, has freshness and life, good persistence, slightly waxy nuances, certain minerality, some eucalyptus, very good, again peppery finish with grip, minerality and bite.
