2003 Cabernet Cubin trocken Erstbelegung, Pfalz, Germany

Smoky-tobacco nose with lots of wood, vegetal notes, vegetable notes and slightly dark fruit. In the mouth quite smooth and polished, chocolaty toasted notes, a lot of wood, some drying tannins, not much depth, lactic notes on the palate, the fruit somewhat displaced, much alcohol, chocolaty finish with smoky and smoky notes. Much more tart chocolate than wine, but carefully made and definitely recommendable for lovers of this wood and roast style.
