The winery is located in the municipality of Münster-Sarmsheim in the German wine-growing region of Nahe
. The Adelseck family, rich in tradition, has been active as coopers in the Bingen
area since the 11th century and is associated with viticulture. Even before the First World War, they started growing wine here and bottling it at the same time. In the meantime, an import company including wine wholesale has also become part of the business. Today, the business is run by the brothers Carl-Günther and Jens Adelseck. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Liebehöll (Sarmsheim), Fuchsen, Karthäuser
and Vogelsang (Laubenheim), as well as Dautenpflänzer
(Münster-Sarmsheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (40%), Scheurebe, Portugieser, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder and Cabernet Sauvignon. Great importance is attached to environmentally friendly, organic cultivation of the vineyards, reduced yields and gentle processing in the cellar. 80% of the wines produced are dry and semi-dry. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced from the Riesling and Scheurebe varieties.
