2020 Schliengen Chasselas VDP.Ortswein trocken "Le Clocher", Baden, Germany

Relatively cool, somewhat floral, almondy and hints of ethereal-herbal pome and stone fruit scents with slightly mushroomy and smoky hints. Clear, tightly knit, bright fruit with a slight acid bite and still yeasty traces, has grip of ripe tannin, good persistence, Earl Grey, bacon and hints of light wood nuances in the background, some stony minerality, slightly smoky, very good, animating finish with bite.
