2018 Großheppach Wanne Lemberger trocken "SL", Württemberg, Germany

Firm and quite deep, somewhat toasty and peppery aroma of predominantly dark berries and cherries with ethereal-herbal and juniper notes. Powerful in the mouth, juicy, quite noble fruit with toasty, smoky and bitter-chocolatey wood notes, also coffee, persistent on the palate, present, fine-sandy, at first still slightly drying tannin, which integrates perfectly with air, lively acidity, a hint of citrus zest in the background, gains noticeably in freshness and precision with air, peppery tones, slightly earthy, chalky and salty, very good, quite juicy finish with very fine mushroom tones.
