2000 Gimmeldingen Schlössel Merlot trocken Barricot Select, Pfalz, Germany

Fairly cool aromas of blackcurrant and cherries, some spicy oak aromas. Full-bodied, juicy fruit, some rustic spice, prominent oak, ripe tannins just detectable, very rich style on the palate, prominent alcohol. Fruit, wood and alcohol on the finish.
