2022 Durbach Plauelrain Grauburgunder VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken "Stollenberg", Baden, Germany

Somewhat smoky and nutty nose, ripe pomaceous fruit with citrus aromas, light oak, hint of bacon and mushrooms, herbaceous nuances and a hint of pepper. Ripe, warm, perhaps somewhat striking fruit, nutty and smoky wood spice, relatively lively acidity, some grip, herbal, bacon and mushroomy nuances, good persistence, a little salt in the background, clearly noticeable alcohol, good to very good, warm finish with citrus flavours and yellow spice.
