Clear, somewhat smoky, nutty and planty to herbaceous nose with citrus flavours, some pomaceous fruit and a hint of peach as well as mineral notes. Ripe, tart, juicy, relatively polished fruit, with cooling elements for all its power, savoury aromas and nutty hints on the palate, a little smoke, salty tones, some citrus zest, noticeable alcohol, fine sandy tannins, very good finish with tart, mineral and hints of ashy tones.

Best to drink: Mitte 2024 bis 2028+. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Quite a polished nose of ripe citrus fruit with stone and pome fruit notes, floral nuances, a little pistachio and very light wood notes. Ripe, tart, juicy, somewhat warm fruit, light wood again, smoky, delicate floral and somewhat vegetal tones, a little lemon zest on the palate, good persistence, a hint of candy, noticeable alcohol, hints of bacon, mushrooms, root vegetables and butter, very good finish.
