2020 Merlot trocken Reserve, Württemberg, Germany

Tart, firm aroma of predominantly black berries with slightly tobacco and nutty wood notes as well as meaty-animalic hints. Ripe, tightly knit, tangy dark fruit, bitter-chocolate and slightly coffee-spicy wood flavours, present, still a little drying tannin, sooty traces, a little black olives and dried tomatoes, again also a little meaty-animalic in the background, lasting, has power, salty hints, very good, firm, grippy finish.
