Clear, slightly smoky and a hint of tobacco on the nose, ripe black berries with a hint of cherries and ashy traces. Straightforward fruit with tart nutty and again slightly tobacco and ash flavours, crumbly-sandy tannins, some persistence, a little bitter chocolate and juniper, good finish with blueberry notes.

Best to drink: Mitte 2024 bis 2028+. What our ratings mean
