2016 Bordeaux Supérieur AOC "Les Hautes Terres", Bordeaux, France

Relatively firm nose, blackcurrants, nutty, tobacco and light dried vegetal notes, hint of paprika. Straightforward, relatively juicy fruit with smoky, nutty and slightly bitter chocolate flavours, a certain persistence, a hint of iodine in the background, delicate tobacco and ashy notes, a little pepper, crumbly-sandy tannins, good to very good finish with fine bitterness.
