The traditional Quiot family has been growing wine since 1748. This year, the landowner Antoine Quiot had vines planted on eight hectares in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape area. Under his grandson, the family's main house, which still exists today, was built. During the phylloxera catastrophe in the second half of the 20th century, the majority of the vineyards were destroyed. In 1980, Geneviève and Jérôme Quiot revived viticulture. There are five wineries owned by the company "Les Vignobles Famille Quiot". These are Château du Trignon, Combes d'Arnevels, Domaine Duclaux, Domaine Houchart and Domaine du Vieux Lazaret. The vineyards cover a total of around 300 hectares. They produce 1.3 million bottles of wine, which are exported to over 40 countries.
All wines are marketed by the family's own trading company, Famille Quiot. The name of the winery and "Vignobles Jérôme Quiot" appear on all labels. The company is based in the commune of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the department of Vaucluse (Rhône wine-growing region). The owner is Jérôme Quiot, the manager is Florence Quiot and her mother Geneviève and the oenologist and cellar master is Jean Baptiste Quiot. The product range includes red, rosé and white wines from the AOC areas Cairanne, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes de Provence, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône-Villages, Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Ventoux.
