2018 Barolo DOCG Monvigliero, Piedmont, Italy

Slightly almondy-nutty and a hint of tomato aroma of predominantly red berries with dried floral aromas and a hint of tobacco and tar. Ripe, somewhat melting, relatively juicy fruit with cocoa notes and nutty tones, crumbly, ripe tannin, persistent on the palate, certain depth and good substance, again tobacco nuances and a little tar, also salt in the background, seems almost accessible at first, but the firm core makes it clear that the wine still has to develop, elegant style, very good, firm, juicy and finely spicy finish.
