2021 Bolgheri Superiore DOC "Marchesale", Tuscany, Italy

Firm, tart, clear aroma of blackcurrants, blackberries and sour cherries with smoky and hints of cedary wood flavours, a little tobacco, hints of vanilla, forest floor, pepper and herbs. Taut, tart, juicy, ripe fruit, lively acidity and present, ripe, fine tannins, cherry flavours on the palate, herbal aromas and again some pepper, dense, deep and persistent, still very young, slightly minty tones, moderate wood spice with a little smoke and again vanilla, hoisin sauce, clear salt in the background, very good, taut, juicy, spicy and mineral finish with bite and grip.
