2020 Bolgheri Superiore DOC "Marchesale", Tuscany, Italy

Firm and deep, quite complex aroma of ripe black berries with cherry notes, a hint of plums, a little Mediterranean herbs and a touch of bacon. Tight, youthful, concentrated dark fruit, some cocoa spicy notes, present, yet very ripe and mellow tannins, dense, powerful and persistent on the palate, ethereal nuances, good depth, smoky hints and some Provence herbs, hints of juniper, salt in the background, a little black olives and bacon, still undeveloped, very good, firm, finely spicy and juicy finish. May mature.
