2020 Bolgheri DOC "Emilio Primo", Tuscany, Italy

Quite tight, youthful, relatively fresh aroma of ripe black berries and a little black olives with some Mediterranean herbs, mint, hints of juniper and a hint of smoke. Ripe, juicy, youthful fruit, a little cocoa and coffee spice, again Mediterranean herbs, mint and black olives, crumbly tannin, persistent on the palate, medium power, a little pepper in the background, smoky wood notes, hints of salt, some depth, still gaining polish with air, very good finish with fresh, tart, dark juice.
