Deep, firm and complex, very dark aroma of blackcurrants, leather, red pepper and black pepper with cedary aromas, eucalyptus, dried red meat, chilli peppers and a little black olives and tobacco. Tart and firm in the mouth, a little smoky and slightly bacony, still closed, predominantly dark fruit with bacony tones, grilled peppers, some cedar, tobacco and pepper again, present, fine sandy, undeveloped tannin, dense and persistent on the palate, a hint of cocoa and coffee grounds, clearly salt in the background, also dried capers, pithy style, still rather unapproachable, gains in finesse, noblesse and elegance with air, restrained power, good depth, very good to long, tart, complex, clearly salty finish with a lot of grip. Needs to mature.
