2021 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Chardonnay Riserva, Alto Adige, Italy

Slightly developed, herbal and somewhat nutty citrus scent with a little smoke, tobacco, root vegetables, spinach, woody notes and hints of butter. Ripe, warm fruit with smoky, light wood flavours, nutty and vegetal tones, a little parsley and some egg white, certain persistence, slightly ashy bitterness in the background, lots of alcohol, buttery notes, more roasted wood with air, very good, albeit slightly muted finish with salt and a certain freshness despite the warmth of the alcohol.
